Laura Biagiotti Perfume and Cologne for Men and Women
Laura Biagiotti was born in Italy in 1943. She became famous as the “Queen of Cashmere” since her first collection featured cashmere and all her following lines. Laura Biagiotti grew up with fashion since her mother was a dressmaker and owned a shop that fashioned and manufactured the attire for the Alitalia airline. In 1965 she began her own fashion line together with her business companion Gianni Cigna.
The Laura Biagiotti brand manufactured and designed several clothings for several Italian fashion companies, prior to the establishment of their very own fashion boutique of ready-to-wear clothing, Angelo Tarlazzi. Laura Biagiotti had a goal of designing her own clothing line which she achieved in 1972 with the introduction of her first women’s collection.
Laura Biagiotti was the first to use the smooth and elegant upscale fabric, cashmere, in her line, which till then wasn’t a fabric used for clothing. The softness and nice fit of the cashmere were favored by many women. “Baby Doll” is one of the very famous designs of Laura Biagiotti and is presented several of her collections. The company has earned many fashion awards and nominations.
The fashion legacy of Laura Biagiotti continues with Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, daughter of Laura, who joined the business and serves as the vice president from 2005.
The Laura Biagiotti perfume division was launched in 1982 when Fiori Bianchi was issued. In 1988 to the delight of many Roma perfume for women was introduced. The Roma perfume is designed to resemble a marble pillar and is the top-selling perfume of Laura Biagiotti. The company launched a men’s version of Roma in 1995. The Laura Biagiotti company continues to present colognes for men and perfumes for women in cooperation with Procter & Gamble.
